1. Subject of the Contract
The subject of the contract is a Heilpraktiker-typical naturopathic treatment of the patient. The treatments provided by the Heilpraktiker include, among others, naturopathic procedures that are not scientifically or medically recognized.

2. No Guarantee of Healing
No guarantee of cure or alleviation is given for any treatment method. It is explicitly stated that no promise of healing is made in accordance with the German Healing Advertising Act (Heilmittelwerbegesetz, HWG).

3. Treatment Notice
The patient is informed that treatment by the Heilpraktiker does not fully replace medical therapy. If medical advice is required, the Heilpraktiker will promptly refer the patient to a physician. This also applies if, due to legal restrictions on the Heilpraktiker’s scope of practice, certain treatments cannot be performed.

4. Confidentiality
The Heilpraktiker is obliged to maintain confidentiality about all knowledge obtained during the professional relationship with patients. The professional secrecy is only waived if the patient releases the Heilpraktiker from the confidentiality obligation.
Exception: The Heilpraktiker is released from confidentiality if legally required to disclose information—for example, mandatory reporting of certain diagnoses—or if required by authorities or courts. This also applies to information provided to legal guardians, but not to spouses, relatives, or family members.

5. Duty of Care
The Heilpraktiker treats patients with the utmost care. They apply treatment methods that, in their professional judgment and training, can lead to relief or, if possible, healing (without promise of cure) in the simplest, fastest, and most cost-effective manner.

6. Duty of Information / Scope of Disclosure
The Heilpraktiker is obliged to explain all essential circumstances of the treatment in an understandable manner at the beginning and, if necessary, during the course of the treatment. This includes diagnosis, therapy, and expected health development.
By signing this contract, the patient confirms that the following points have been comprehensively discussed:

  • Health condition

  • Type of illness

  • Treatment method and expected duration

  • Available treatment alternatives

  • Burdens, risks, and chances of success of the therapy

7. Reimbursement of Treatment Costs by Health Insurance
Statutory health insurance and substitute funds generally do not reimburse Heilpraktiker treatment costs. For private insurance or supplementary coverage, reimbursement is limited to the terms of the insurance contract and usually does not cover all naturopathic procedures. Full invoice amounts are usually not reimbursed. It is the patient’s responsibility to inquire with their health insurance.
The Heilpraktiker’s claim to fees exists independently of any insurance reimbursement.

8. Fee Agreement

  • Anamnesis (90 min): €160

  • Acupuncture + Prescription (50 min): €75

  • TuiNa + Acupuncture + Prescription (60 min): €95

  • Coaching (80 min): €130

  • Private patients receive invoices according to the GebüH (German Fee Schedule for Heilpraktiker)

9. Telephone/Skype Consultations / Follow-Up
Telephone or Skype consultations do not replace in-person treatment and are offered in addition to personal appointments. Diagnosis can only be made in the practice, not remotely.

10. Laboratory Costs / Medication Costs
Costs for laboratory tests from external labs are borne by the patient. All medications are the patient’s responsibility. Heilpraktikers are not permitted to prescribe prescription medications.

11. Compensation for Missed or Late Appointments
If an appointment cannot be kept, it must be canceled at least 2 days in advance.

  • Cancellation less than 2 days before the appointment: 50% of normal therapy fee

  • Cancellation less than 24 hours before the appointment: full treatment fee
This also applies to telephone consultations.

12. Personal Patient Data and Medical Records
All personal and treatment-relevant data, as well as medical findings, will be collected and stored in a patient file.

13. Consent Declaration
I have been fully informed orally about the points mentioned under §6 (duty of information and scope of disclosure). I have understood the information and have no further questions. I hereby consent to the proposed treatment after sufficient reflection time.
The patient consents to the therapist selecting a pharmacy and placing orders for prescribed medications.
